About the department
In patients with all types of internal diseases, both on an urgent basis and for inquiries and complex treatments of patients referred from the community are hospitalized and treated in Internal ward B. The Department's unique field of specialization is the treatment of heart disease in a multidisciplinary approach. The department has a dedicated cardiac hospitalization unit.
Academic and research activities
The department is affiliated with the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and takes an active part in the teaching of medical students from Israel, and abroad and nursing students from Israel.
The clinical research activity of the department includes participation in international studies on the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular risk factors, and studies on blood thinners, heart failure, coronary events and in the field of infectious diseases. The department maintains basic research activities with research partnerships with the Weizmann Institute of Science and Tel Aviv University.
