About the unit
The general intensive care unit treats patients with respiratory failure and multi-systemic insufficiency. In addition, the unit is responsible for stabilizing and supervising patients following complex surgeries.
Academic and research activities
The General Intensive Care Unit provides instruction and training to resident from the following departments: anesthesia, surgery and internal medicine, instruction for students and nurses. The unit holds workshops to improve the knowledge of on-duty doctors of the hospital departments regarding patients artificial respiration at the different departments.
Application method:
Patients are referred from all departments, including the emergency and operating rooms.
