About the clinic
The clinic provides general and unique neurological counseling to all departments of the Medical Center. The specific specialty of the clinic is in the area of cerebral blood vessels, stroke and its prevention. The clinic operates a transcranial Doppler laboratory (ultrasound that examines the blood flow through the skull bones), which enables visualization of the flow of blood through the cerebral blood vessels (intra- and extracranial).
Academic and research activities
The studies focus on the following subjects:
New drugs for immediate treatment of stroke and its prevention.
Indications test for surgery of a sclerotic layer in the carotid artery and an evaluation of the significance of various risk factors in cases of carotid artery stenosis.
