About the Department
The Department of diagnostic radiology is a central chain in the diagnosis and management of in patients, ED and ambulatory patients.by using various imaging modalities.
The department composes 4 units imaging services in various sites in the hospital including ER, operating rooms, pain management, cardiac cath lab and bedside X-ray examinations.
- Computed Tomography (CT) unit, Headed by Dr. Inna Tzitman, performing basic and advanced examinations in neuroradiology, chest, abdominal and musculoskeletal examinations such as coronary CT angio, CT Enterography, CT Angiography and image guided procedures such as core-needle biopsies and tumor ablations.
- Ultrasound Unit, Headed by Dr. Selma Gabrieli, performs diagnostic Ultrasound examinations including Elastography and ultrasound contrast enhanced examinations (CEUS).
- Breast imaging Unit, Headed by Dr Simcha Elyashiv gives diagnostic and minimally invasive breast diagnosis and interventions under various imaging modalities: Ultrasound, Mammography (including Tomosynthesis) and Mammotom.
- Vascular and Interventional Radiology: diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the vascular systems, urinary and biliary systems.
- Fluoroscopy Services: led by Dr. Clara Kravits performs various fluoroscopic examinations mainly to ambulatory patients.
The head radiographer is Tamir Honigsberg, HR is led by Hadasah Kapah and the head nurse is Nili Livne who lead trained staff that works together with the radiologists and other physicians to give the best radiology services 24\7.
