The Labs Activity in Kaplan Medical Center
The labs in Kaplan Medical Center conducts tests in all areas of medicine: biochemistry, pharmacology, cancer markers, hematology and coagulation, hematocystology, general urine, bacteriology, bacterial and viral serology, endocrinology, molecular genetics, cytogenetics, clinical immunology, diagnosis of carrying HIV and follow up, blood bank, histology and cytology.
About three million tests are performed every year for ambulatory patients, for patients in the various units, for Hartzfeld patients and for nursing homes in the area. Special tests for the center, southern and Jerusalem districts are also carried out. In addition, the lab conducts tests which are not included in the health basket, for research labs and for private and commercial third parties.
The labs are equipped with innovative, automatic and advanced devices, and constantly embed advanced technologies. All the labs have ISO 9001:2015 standard and meet international standards of quality, precision and reproducibility which are expressed by the conduct of both daily and international quality assurance protocols.
The labs employ certified lab workers with B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D degrees and vast experience in the area of expertise. The lab workers are up to date in all academic and technological innovations in their field.
