Friends of the Emek Medical Center was founded in 1997. The association is a nonprofit entity whose purpose is to assist in developing and promoting the welfare and conditions of patients in the Emek Medical Center. Local Israeli funds raised are focused towards the acquisition of advanced medical equipment, the upgrading of departments, modernizing medical facilities, provision of clown therapy and any activity or item needed to make a patient’s stay a more pleasant, healthy and palatable experience.
The Friends of Emek organization works together with Emek’s International Office of Development and Emek’s Business Development Office to promote the Emek Medical Center in every way possible so the residents of northeastern Israel may enjoy the benefits.
