Soroka is a key partner in the formation, execution, and operation of the first innovation district in Israel, located in Beer-Sheva. We have also established an innovation center with ELTA Systems Ltd. and Israel Aerospace Industries where ideas for the development of medical devices and ground breaking uses of artificial intelligence and machine learning will be germinated. We integrate innovative technologies into medical procedures, for example by using virtual reality in surgery and employing existing procedures in innovative ways.
To stay ahead of the curve and ensure it remains at the forefront of innovation, Soroka Medical Center is establishing a new, unique Innovation Center at the heart of the hospital’s campus. Soroka’s Innovation Center will provide a platform, infrastructure, and environment that enable innovative ideas to grow and support entrepreneurial needs. The Innovation Center will serve as a platform where researchers, hospital staff, graduate and medical students, and external stakeholders meet and exchange ideas, knowledge, and insights.
