The medical staff in the pre-operative clinic
includes a surgeon, an anesthesiologist, and a nurse who prepare patients for
surgery, providing information about the upcoming operation and performing
necessary tests.
Division physicians perform a variety of operations, including
complex surgeries such as kidney transplants, advanced surgeries using robotics,
laparoscopy, surgery for morbid obesity, endovascular surgeries, and cochlear
implant surgeries for the deaf.

Activities and Research
The Division operates alongside
the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Division
physicians hold academic positions and take part in various academic activities,
including training medical students and health professions students, training
physicians from the hospital and the community, training interns and experts in
various aspects of general surgery, and performing clinical
studies.
