More than 15,000 cancer patients are treated every year at Soroka. Each year, an average of 2,500 adult patients are newly diagnosed with cancer. In recent years, there has been an increase in diagnosis of all types of cancer, especially lung, bladder, and breast cancer, in the southern region.
The Legacy Heritage Oncology Center and Dr. Larry Norton Institute form a comprehensive oncolog center that provides state-of-the-art treatment to the diverse population of our region. It houses all treatment units under one roof and provides patients with world-class facilities, saving lives and greatly improving their well-being and that of their families.
