Dr, Boaz Tadmor, Associate Director and Chairman of the Research Authority at Rabin Medical Center met with the management at Bar Ilan university in order to discuss areas of interest for research collaboration in the medical field. This was followed by the visit of Benjamin Ehrenberg, Vice President for Research at Bar Ilan University to Rabin Medical Center where he met with leading researchers in the hospital and heard about future research projects.

Dr. Eyran Halpern, CEO OF Rabin Medical Center and Prof. Moshe Kaveh, President of Bar-Ilan University met to finalize this vital agreement which is seen as important step toward strengthening the relationship between the two   institutions.

Dr. Eyran Halpern: "With this welcome initiative, we will be able to work toward unique and groundbreaking research. Part of the vision of our hospital is to promote research which we see as essential for medical advancement. Research collaboration with Bar Ilan University, which is located in close proximity to the hospital, offers very promising research potential and will help advance significant projects for medical research".

Prof. Moshe Kaveh: "As a leading institute of medicine in Israel with a  Biomedical Engineering Brain Center,  the largest in Israel,  and leading researchers in the Faculty of Life Sciences and Exact Sciences I have no doubt that this research partnership will lead to significant  breakthroughs in medical research".

As this stage we are focusing on a number of research directions including nano medical technologies, male fertility and the biology of brain tumors".
